About Lotus Sweet Treats

I don't just make desserts.

I create the moment a little girl gasps because her birthday treats look exactly like she imagined. The moment a bride sees her dessert table for the very first time. The moment your guests stop mid-conversation and ask, “Wait, who made these?” Those moments are my favorite part.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth

I'm the baker, designer, color enthusiast, perfectionist, and creative heart behind Lotus Sweet Treats. I believe desserts should do more than satisfy a sweet tooth. They should tell a story, bring people together, and become part of the memories you'll look back on long after the celebration is over. That's exactly why I started Lotus Sweet Treats.

Long before I was creating custom desserts, I spent more than 15 years leading large-scale projects as a Senior Project Manager. While the industries have changed, one thing hasn't: I love bringing big ideas to life. Today, I use those same planning, organization, and problem-solving skills to thoughtfully design every order so you can spend less time worrying and more time enjoying your celebration.

Where the name comes from

Lotus Sweet Treats is deeply personal to me. The lotus is Egypt's national flower and a tribute to my heritage, a symbol of beauty, resilience, and new beginnings. Our homemade baklava is made from my family's recipe, lovingly passed down through generations. Both remind me that the sweetest traditions are the ones shared with the people we love.

I love a challenge

If we've ever worked together (or if you're about to), you'll quickly learn one thing about me: I absolutely love a challenge. The more unique your vision, the happier I become. Whether it's matching the perfect shade of green, bringing an inspiration photo to life, or creating something that's never been done before, I genuinely enjoy the creative process as much as the finished product.

Because to me, desserts aren't just desserts. They're conversation starters. They're the details guests photograph before taking the first bite. They're the centerpiece that brings people together. They're part of the memories you'll cherish for years to come.

What I make

Cake pops in classic flavors and custom themes, photo and logo pops for brand events, and walnut baklava cut and rolled by hand, plus new seasonal additions as they're introduced. Every order is made fresh in my home kitchen for your event. Nothing sits on a shelf, nothing comes out of a freezer case.

Where I serve

Pickup is in Richmond, just southwest of Houston. Local delivery is available within a set radius of the Houston metro, with round-trip mileage included in the delivery fee. I do not ship. If you are unsure whether your address is in range, send a note through the contact page and I will check it for you.

A few sweet things about me

  • Lotus Sweet Treats is named after Egypt's national flower as a tribute to my heritage.
  • Our baklava is made from my family's generations-old recipe.
  • I'm obsessed with color palettes and believe the smallest details create the biggest impact.
  • If you tell me, “I have a crazy idea,” you've already made my day.
  • Riding my bike is one of my favorite ways to recharge.
  • I'm a nationally certified yoga instructor and love both teaching and taking classes.
  • If there's music playing, there's a very good chance you'll find me on the dance floor.

Every celebration tells a story. I'd be honored to help make yours a little sweeter.
