Lotus Sweet Treats
Cake Pop & Baklava Care Card
How to keep your treats at their best from pickup to plate.
Cake Pops
- Right away: Cool, dry place out of direct sun. Avoid the dashboard or hot trunks during transport.
- Within 24 hours: Refrigerate in a sealed container if not serving same-day. Keeps best at peak quality for 5 to 7 days from your pickup or delivery date.
- Freezing: Up to 12 weeks in an airtight container. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving. Do not refreeze.
- Once at room temperature: Plan to eat within the day. The chocolate coating softens and won't hold the same snap if refrigerated again.
Baklava
- Best storage: Room temperature in an airtight container, out of direct sunlight. About 7 days at peak quality.
- Skip the fridge: Refrigeration softens the layers and makes the syrup weep.
- Freezing: Not recommended. Freezing crystallizes the syrup and sugars, which ruins the texture of the pastry.
Event-day handling
- Take pops out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before serving so the chocolate hits its best texture.
- For outdoor events in warm weather, keep treats in a cool tote with an ice pack until 20 minutes before guests arrive.
- For tiered displays, place the heavier or denser shapes at the base. Photo and logo pops are slightly heavier than standard.
